Today, there are five recognized world sanctioning bodies for Major Boxing Events. These are:

- World Boxing Council (WBC)
- International Boxing Federation (IBF)
- World Boxing Organization (WBO)
- World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF)
Some people only bet on flashy pay-per-view main events like the ones promoted by the likes of Don King, Frank Warren, Bob Arum and Golden Boy. But if you look elsewhere, you will find a rich vein of lower key fights running through the whole year, and it's these that can give you the action you need to make boxing betting pay.
